The Accessibility Health Score

The Accessibility Health Score is an internal monitoring indicator from 0 to 100 that helps you see trends. It is not a legal or WCAG conformance score. A score of 100 means our automated tests did not detect issues on the pages tested — not that the site is accessible or compliant.

Formula

For each distinct open issue we add a penalty:

Critical	8
Serious	4
Moderate	1.5
Minor	0.5

Issues on product, cart or checkout pages count 1.5×; issues inside third-party frames count 0.5×. The total per rule is capped at 20 so a single pervasive problem does not dominate.

score = round(100 × 60 / (60 + total penalty))

A total penalty of 60 gives 50/100. The score of a monitored store is computed from its open-issue ledger, so daily journey scans and weekly full scans remain comparable.

Priorities

Each issue also gets a deterministic priority from P1 (fix first) to P4, based on severity, whether it is on the purchase path, whether it is repeated across a template, and whether it blocks a journey step.
